Latest Updates from Our Project:

SPIEL17
about 7 years ago – Wed, Nov 01, 2017 at 07:59:25 PM

Hey all,

We just came back from Spiel 2017 and wanted to say thank you to all of you who visited us. We had a lot of fun and it was great speaking with you over a game of Dead Cat (pics below).

You might be able to see some Dead Cats laying around your local games store soon as we were approached by a few owners who wanted to retail them. If we are all lucky we might even get a distribution deal to bring even more Dead Cat to the world.

Additionally we want to thank all of you who playtested QED and gave us valuable feedback.

We hope to see you again in the newly launched Kickstarter for QED.

All the best,

Elisa & Luca

Our New Adventure
about 7 years ago – Thu, Oct 26, 2017 at 03:06:12 PM

Hey all,

We wanted to inform you that thanks to your helping us to realise Dead Cat, our first project, we were able to launch our second one today. We already wrote about it in previous updates but wanted to share some more details with you in this one.

In Quod Erat Disputandum you are playing as a student, and like all students, your primary goal is to sit down in a bar in the evening, have a cold beer and discuss the meaning of life, science and everything in between. In QED your goal is to win these discussions and do everything possible to get some advantage. You get this advantage by spending your time wisely during the day.

You can go to the auditorium to listen to your professors and acquire new theories or to the library to increase your knowledge or intelligence. If you feel fancy, you can even buy a second-hand pair of underwear or have the janitor sell you black market tools in his lost and found shop. You finance all this by donating blood or becoming lab-rat in some shady experiments.

QED is a 2 or 4 player game that plays within 45 minutes. The board you are playing on is entirely modular, and no game will ever be the same. If you are at this year's Spiel, you can test-play it with us at our booth 7J122 in hall 7. We wanted to thank you all again for making possible to move along this path. All the best, Elisa & Luca

What's next?

Hey all,

Now that most of you got Dead Cat we will conclude the Dead Cat Kickstarter. This means three things:

  • We want to thank you. Thank you for making the production of Dead Cat possible and share this amazing journey with us. This project would have never happened without you and your support.
  • We will raise the price of Dead Cat to the targeted retail price. This will happen in a week's time. So if you had friends who were eyeballing Dead Cat didn’t have the time to order it yet, let them know.
  • We will turn our attention to the our newest game Quod Erat Disputandum (QED). QED will run on Kickstarter soon and we hope to see many of you join us again for a project we are very proud of. You can find out more and follow the newest development by liking our Facebook page.

All this aside we also wanted to invite you to join us at this years Spiel in Essen. Like last year we would be happy to play Dead Cat or QED in person with you. You will be able to find us in hall 7 booth 7J122.

All the best,

Elisa & Luca

Shipping follow up
about 7 years ago – Thu, Aug 24, 2017 at 08:06:56 PM

Hey all,

During the last two weeks some of you mentioned that they haven't received your game yet. We wanted to answer your rightful concerns and give you an update on what is going to happen next:

We reached out to our fulfillment company and asked them to check if any packages came back or if they got any messages from the different post services used all across the world. As the shipping happened nearly two months ago the investigation takes a little bit longer but we expect an answer very soon.

That being said we will make sure that everyone will get their games and add-ons.

If you want to help us with the above mentioned investigation you can send us your address via Kickstarter message so we can compare it to the one that the package went out to.

We hope you will be able to play the game soon.

All the Best,

Elisa & Luca

Shipping update
over 7 years ago – Sun, Jul 02, 2017 at 10:22:20 PM

Hey all,

We hope you had a great weekend. We wanted to give you a short update on shipping.

As expected the games arrived in the UK early last week. Unfortunately they were held by customs for multiple days. They will arrive at our fulfillment companies warehouse on Monday or Tuesday this week. As soon as that happened national and international shipping will begin.

After this is out of the way we want to reveal the answer to our sneak peek question from last week. What could a game that includes a bar and instant noodles have as a theme? New York wasn’t a bad guess but the answer is University. So please have a read through the pitch and let us know what you think:

You play a student and like all students you spend your day learning in the library, listening to lectures, sell your blood to pay for your food and shop underwear in the second hand shop. You do this during the day but every night you meet up with your friends in your favorite bar and you start discussing. You debate about politics, science, religion and everything at once using all the skills you acquired during your studies. This goes on until other people start to develop interest in your discussions and soon you find yourself in a fighting debate where only the smartest, most cunning and bravest student can win the night.

All the best,

Elisa & Luca
